I’ll be honest; my reason for needing whiter teeth was because I didn’t take care of them while I had the chance to. Sometimes I’d skip my brushing routine (which is disgusting now, if you ask me), and maybe indulge in unhealthy foods once in a while. Okay, maybe more than once in a while.

Luckily, I had not harmed my teeth enough to erode the enamel. Away from the mess, my teeth were still strong; something I assume has to do with my good genes. So I decided to make two major changes: say goodbye to excessive sugar, and say hello to natural tips to whiten my dull teeth.
Simple And Natural Ways You Can Whiten Your Teeth
Baking soda is a popular teeth-whitener. The changes won’t happen overnight, but you should notice results after some weeks. Use two teaspoons of water with one teaspoon of baking soda to make a paste that you can use to brush your teeth.
Remember that baking soda is a mild abrasive, so use it about three times a week, that’s how it works for me.
Apple Cider Vinegar
The counterpart to baking soda, vinegar has acetic acid which can kill bacteria and whiten your teeth. However, the same acid can soften your teeth and erode the enamel, so keep the contact minimal. Dilute it with equal parts water and swish it around in your mouth for 5-10 minutes then rinse it out with clean water. Do not use it every day.
I was a little unsure about this method, but it is a traditional Indian method to get rid of bacteria in your mouth. Swishing some oils around in your mouth can also help you reduce gingivitis and plaque.
Seeing the improvement with my teeth, I can only believe it works. You can use one tablespoon of coconut oil or sesame oil, and make sure you pull it between your teeth.
Your teeth will thank you for these changes – not just your body. Crunch away at raw fruits and veggies (especially pineapples, carrots, and strawberries) to strengthen your teeth and eliminate plaque.
Preventive measures will work together with these remedies to brighten your smile. Limit the number of times you come into contact with foods and drinks that stain your teeth, reduce the amount of sugar you take, and add calcium-rich foods in your diet to strengthen your enamel.
