Apart from its ability to last a whole day, the Covergirl outside lipstick has a powerful moisturizing effect on your lips. It also comes with a sheen that is creamy and does not settle in lip crevices. Covergirl outlast lipstick vs Lipsense review compares these two products to give you a guide on what product works for you. Lipsense has a longer lasting power and is not transferable.
I have been using Lipsense all this long as a lipstick wear until my friend recently introduced me to outlast lipstick. What you choose to buy solely depends on your tests and preferences. Read on to know my review of them.
Covergirl outlast lipstick review
It’s moisturizing and leaves you feeling hydrated.
Lasting power
This lipstick comes with a staying power of up to 16 hours. It’s packed with an advanced formula, shine and color that is brilliant and remains resilient for a long time. It could last through lunch and up to dinner.
Non-transferable
With this lipstick product, you don’t have to worry about your eating routine as the lipstick color is not affected by the smudge effects of utensils. Glass and mugs are lipstick free after use.
End product
Come with a top coat that seals your lip wear and prevents feathering. After application, be careful not to press your lips together for some time as this might ruin it. One layer of this lipstick is good to go, however, if you want a deep color, you can apply up to two layers before applying top gloss.
Pros
- Long wear
- Saves you the trouble of reapplying
- Lip hydrating top gloss
- Several colors/shades
Cons
- Cause irritation on sensitive lips
- Some shades have a better-staying power than others
- Feels dry with time

Lipsense review
With this product, you get a palette of colors that you can customize to suit your lips.
End product
I was able to achieve a rich pink light bright color with Lipsense. It’s PH suited well with my lip tone. However, I needed up to three layers of this lipstick to achieve its rich appearance. It felt quite heavy on my lips.
Lasting power
If your daily routine is not hyped with activity such as eating, swimming and drinking often, Lipsense suits you best. It gives you up to 8 hours of intense color on your lips before it begins to wear. However, the trick lies in the application of the top coat gloss every 5 hours. It helps protect the base layers of the lipstick.
Non-transferable
This lipstick is not easily transferable to contacts your lips get to touch such as mugs, smudge and kissing. However, I needed to be wary of oily foods. The lipstick remover is oil-based; more reason to avoid heavy meals that contain oil.
Pros
- Several pigmented shades
- Long lasting
- Top gloss keep your lips moisturized
- Not easily transferable
Cons
- The application process is long
- Feels heavy with 3 layers of the application
- Tingling/burning sensation

Conclusion
I loved the Covergirl outlast lipstick. It has a simple application process and lasts all day on your lips without having to reapply it. Lipsense wasn’t my best choice. I hated the heaviness it used to leave on my lips.
