Just like the Matte Liquid lipstick, the Focallure Lip crayon is highly pigmented and comes in 12 shades. I love that I was able to pick from a variety rather than being limited to a few colors only.

The first thing I noticed when I got the lipstick crayons was the simple packaging. The simplistic design makes it look elegant. Besides the name of the brand, the only other thing on the packaging box was the details about the lipstick crayon.

When it comes to lipsticks, we certainly want something that will not leave our lips dry and charred. This is where most lipsticks fail. They start out looking great when applied but eventually dry up the lips too much and you end up looking like a mess.

Well, the Focallure Matte Lipstick gets a plus on this area. It is moisturizing and hydrating. This means that even without the use of a lip primer, your lips remain moisturized all through the day.

I personally love having a matte finish on my lips as opposed to the glossy look. For one, I think matte looks better and it certainly stays on longer as compared to the latter. It is also easier for glossy lipsticks to stain cups and glasses once you drink from them. Most companies fail by advertising their lipsticks as matte and not delivering the same. One thing that I did not like with the lipstick crayon was the fact that it stained my lips. Of course, some people like that factor but I personally do not. This becomes a problem if you want to wear different shades on consecutive days.

I also noticed that the lipstick tends to melt when exposed to high temperatures. If you are planning to wear it during the summer, then you better have it ready for some retouch now and then.

Focallure Matte Liquid Lipstick Review

Liquid lipsticks have been around for a while and almost everyone loves them. Well, I personally do.

The Focallure Matte Liquid Lipstick starts off as being glossy but dries to give a matte finish. I really wanted to try this out as I had heard that the lipstick was waterproof and smudge free.

The first thing I wanted to test was whether or not it was smudge free. For this, I did a swatch on the back of my hand, left it to dry and tried to rub it off, I must say, I was surprised to find that there was no smudge at all. I honestly expected it to have some. I completely forgot about the swatch and went about my duties. The next morning, I was shocked to find that other than some color fading, the lipstick was still intact.

The most impressive thing about the Focallure Matte Liquid Lipstick was the time that it lasted. I put on the lipstick in the morning and had it on all through the day without having to do any touch-ups. And do not think that all I did was sit around. I went about my normal duties and even had drinks and some food. Of course, there was a bit of fading but that was to be expected. Other than that, I could easily head out somewhere in the evening without having to redo the lipstick.

The Focallure Matte Liquid is super creamy and highly pigmented. Because of the former factor, applying it is very easy. The lipstick simply glides on your lips as you apply it. The high pigmentation, on the other hand, means that you only need to apply one layer for the color to set in right.

I was amazed at how comfortable the lipstick is. For most matte lipsticks, I usually end up feeling as if my lips have been tightened and this makes me uncomfortable. Although matte lipsticks are supposed to be dry, the Focallure Matte Liquid lipstick is quite comfortable even after it has dried off.

For someone with dry lips, I am used to having cracked lips no matter what lipstick I am wearing. Once the matte liquid lipstick had dried off, I expected my lips to crack. It was quite shocking that they did not. Sure, they remained dry and dehydrated but the lipstick did not crack or get charred at any point.

I must admit, I did notice that the lipstick left behind some traces in my drinks and foods. However, the trace left behind was so little that I did not mind. I even tried the kissing test and kissed the back of my hand but no lipstick was left behind.

Focallure advertises this as a waterproof and smudges free lipstick and it certainly is. I loved my experience with the lipstick I had on and I will be getting some more as well.
