Evening primrose and coconut DIY eye cream
For this recipe the ingredients necessary are evening primrose, Vitamin E oil and coconut oil. Vitamin E is a useful ingredient because of its firming properties and ability to fight wrinkles. On the other hand evening primrose works to combat dark circles, skin irritation and inflammation. Coconut oil softens the skin and its combination with Vitamin E hydrates the skin. This combination also helps derail the effects of aging.
- Measure then heat up half a cup of the coconut oil. This could be achieved using a few seconds in the microwave (approximately 10 to 15) but it’s preferable to use steam due to its flammability.
- Mix it with give or take 5 capsules of the Vitamin E oil.
- Stir until it’s well mixed before adding 1 tablespoon of the primrose oil.
- Mix the three well and refrigerate the mixture.
Once it solidifies the process is complete and it is ready for use.
Frankincense and Shea butter DIY Eye cream
The ingredients necessary for this recipe are frankincense oil, shea butter, Vitamin E, aloe vera gel and coconut oil.
- Place 1oz of shea butter and 1oz of coconut oil in a bowl and heat mildly until liquefied.
- Add to the mixture a teaspoon of the Vitamin E, 1oz of the aloe vera and 8 drops of the frankincense oil.
- Stir the ingredients until well blended.
Once this is done, the process is complete and the mix should be placed in a jar for storage
Vitamin E and Rosehip DIY Eye cream
This is a winning combo for anti-aging. The anti-aging benefit of rosehip comes due to its anti-oxidants and the oils ability of deep penetration into the skin. Its essential fatty acids which are emollients help improve the skins elasticity. While Vitamin E boosts the production of collagen, fiber-like protein that is responsible for maintenance of skin elasticity. Thereby reducing fine lines and wrinkles.
Mix as small and equal amount of both oils and place in a container.
Shea Butter and Chamomile DIY Eye cream
The benefits of Shea butter to the skin is that it is moisturizing, reduces inflammation and smoothens the skin. Chamomile is a super ingredient as it is a strong anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, skin repairing and a natural skin lightener.
Warm 1 tablespoon of Shea butter in a pot over low heat. This is so as to soften it. Put 10 drops of pure chamomile essential oil in a container. Decant the Shea butter onto the chamomile and thoroughly mix them together. Allow the mixture to cool.
Avocado and Almond Cream DIY Eye cream
This cream is the best to combat dry skin. Avocado has antioxidants and anti-inflammatory agents that help the skin stay smooth, strong and elastic. It helps heal chapped skin, replenish dry skin and hydrate and moisturize skin.
Almond oil due to its antioxidant properties helps protect the skin against damage from UV radiation and keeping the skin soft and supple. Almond also helps remove dark circles under your eyes by making the skin brighter.
Blend three slices of avocado with 5 drops of almond oil. Apply and wash off after 5 minutes.
